Pandemic caused by Taylor Swifts Music

Pop - Country sensation Taylor Swift has just spilled that she caused the Swine Flu Pandemic that is sweeping the World.

With the level being pushed to 5 by the World Health Organization, she felt that it would be good press to go ahead and create some controversy.

It all started when she traveled to Mexico to play her super charged pop-country blend of crap music to some school children. With there not so good immune systems, (anyone remember what the conquistadors did to the Mayans and Aztecs?) the music mutated the swine flu and allowed it to jump to the children! Not the children of the sun...again! After she infected the children, it was off to Cancun for another benefit show. By then the flu was building in strength and was now playing her music with there last.fm account and pandora, even a grooveshark account was detected by a H1V1 code name.

So look out world, if the music from Taylor Swift wasn't awful enough, it will cause you to have a fever and crap all over yourself.

Curing a Hangover, Yes it's possible

Ah yes, New Years Day. Or should I say National Hangover Day. However you just can't "cure" a hangover but you can do things to help ease the discomfort before and after you drink. Hear are a few tips for the year to get you through that unfortunate time when the Head throbs, Stomach aches, Eyes sink in, and just a overall blahh feeling. Happy Drinking!!!

1. Drink pleny of Water through the day so your body stays hydrated when you decide to take those shots or chug that beer. It is a great preventative measure for the next morning. Also, before you go to bed, drink a glass of water and that will help your body hydrate since, while you sleep, your body struggles to find hydration.

2. This one may seem boring but moderation and timing is a GREAT way to prevent a hangover. Take your time on a drink and then when the nights over and you go to bed, instead of 12 drinks you only had 6!! Genius!!

3. Before you go out, about 3 hours prior, drink a glass of prickly pear juice and then let the good times roll!!

4. Eat before you start drinking. It's not so much the food absorbs the alcohol, but your stomach is full and less likely to hold more liqour.

5. This is more of a personal trick but spicy peppers, jalepenos serranos habaneros, help me cure a hangover quickly!!

So to all that decide to drink this year, including myself, may I wish you good times with great friends and great things to come in 2009!!

I have a dream and it has happened!!!

We as Americans have taken a giant step toward a more free and perfect union. President-elect Barack Obama will be our next President of the United States. As emotions run high on both sides of the platforms, I applaud all who voted. This is probably the highest voter turn out ever. It is amazing to think that only forty years ago, the thought of a African-American President was just a Dream. A Dream by not just like-skinned Americans, but free and forward thinking Americans that have spread the seed of education to their children.

I can see that we are making the choice. A massive wave of choices of others have led us up to capture this moment. We are a great nation and now we wait in a earnest, tired, ready, and somewhat amazed state of mind to be apart of a great change, moreover, a great Dream that all men ARE created equal and we can stand united to overcome the problems we ALL face.

Cooking up some Thoughts

I was cooking the other day and had a thought. Cooking is like having a conversation with someone. First, I need all the ingredients to prepare. That is like gathering thoughts to talk about. So once my thoughts are gathered, I put them together and make sure the timing is right. This is when the food is cooking. Making sure everything is finished at the same time and cooked accordingly. Once I have 'cooked' my thoughts, it is about the way it looks or is presented. I don't want it to say what its not. Seems a little crazy, but when cooking I have these, what seem to me, little epiphanies. Some are profound and others are kind of weird.

5 Ways to Eat Healthier!!

When it comes to living well, the core is being able to eat healthy. Here are five simple ways to improve your diet and, ultimately, your being.

1. Before you make that trip into the store, grab a light snack to curb your impulse-hunger buys.

When we are hungry, we tend to make more unnecessary food purchases. This will allow the more sensible side of buying healthy foods to come out instead of reaching for that impromptu bag of chips, or cookies to "jump" into your basket.

2. When you arrive at the store, instead of grabbing a HUGE cart to stick a ton of food in, grab a good size basket.

Starting this will allow you to only grab what you need. Although this could seem like you make more trips to the store, you start to see what we really only need to eat. It is easy to fit plenty of food in a basket. For example, this week I was able to fit six chicken breasts, seven tomatoes, four cans of green beans, lunch meat, etc. Plus, it is a great mini-workout!!

3. Keep a "pre-made" list with your essentials on it to prevent skewing from the necessary food items.

This core list will have your pyramid foods on it. From whole grains and meats, to needed fats, vegetables and fruits. This will help the budgeting from month to month and also keep the nagging commercial buys from infiltrating your list. Remember to stay strong!!

4. Cook your own food. This will give you more control of what you put in your body.

This is a dying feature in the American home. Learning how to prepare your own meals will help in keeping your list simple. Also, on a centering level, cooking is very calming and can bring the family together.

5. Remember the food list!! So the shopping experience doesn't become a guessing game.

Forgetting the list will create frustration and will lead to more impulsive buys. On shopping day or whenever its time to restock the kitchen, Always keep it visible so its not forgettable.

These five tips will help you streamline your diet plans and also help simplify the food purchasing process. When we eat well, we become well--one improvement at a time.

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness

All the money in the world and we decide to just give it away. How can we have any money to lend when we are trillions of dollars in debt? I guess since we went off the gold standard and started selling futures in products that aren't even ours, we as a nation have become unable to understand that money comes from somewhere. What happened to earning something? It is evident all around us that we have forgotten what it is to work. Yes, I know that the we do work but what and who for? Ourselves? Doubt it. Or is it the wanting of a unobtainable goal? Well we all can work and want and do the best we can but lets remember the important things in life. The things you can't buy or earn through a 401K.

Well the more and more we fill our heads with mindless TV and uneducated news anchors, scare tactics, fearing each other, we lose track of, not only ourselves, but what should be our main goals!! Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness!! These goals have become clouded and hindered by our past choices as a country. People who think that our actions have no consequences obviously do not look at history--as well as a physic book. Lets take a chance and actually learn from the past to preserve our future and cement our present. Taking back our ability to have Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness should be our endeavour as a Nation. A Nation of TRUE Americans are fearless and constantly question authority to preserve freedom.
